Day 3: Why Lady sumire?

Hoy recupero mi primer post…

Imaginemos  para empezar cuál sería el outfit perfecto para uno de mis personajes literarios preferidos y que le da nombre a mi blog. Sumire, uno de los tres protagonistas del libro Sputnik mi amor de Haruki Murakami. Esta es ella según Murakami (siento que el texto sea en inglés, pero es como tengo el libro)

 

Which would be the perfect outfit for Sumire?, a character from Sputnik my love, an Haruki Murakami’s book and the one from who inspired the name of my blog. This is Sumire (text from the book)

"Sumire wanted to be like a character in a Kerouac novel-wild, cool, dissolute. She'd stand around, hands shoved deep in her coat pockets, her hair an uncombed mess, staring vacantly at the sky through her black plastic-frame Dizzy Gillespie glasses, which she wore despite her twenty-twenty vision. She was invariably decked out in an oversize herringbone coat from a secondhand store and a pair of rough work boots."

Lo primero que se me vino a la cabeza cuando leí "oversize herringbone coat" fue en Christopher Bailey y Burberry Prorsum que llenó su colección para este otoño/invierno de abrigos de aires muy british y que se ajustan bastante a ese rollo cool pero desaliñado.

When I read “oversize herringbone coat”  Christopher Bailey and Burberry Prorsum came to my mind.I think these british co ats from f/w 08 collection fit perfect with Sumire!

Por supuesto, Sumire es una chica Wang , seguro usaría los famosos Boyfriend Jeans/pants y los tops con toques grunge que han llevado al éxito a este joven diseñador (de mis preferidos, por cierto).

Of course, she’s a Wang gir. I’m sure that she would wear boyfriend-grunge jeans

Y por último los complementos. Estas botas de ash, y las Wayfarer.
